My name is Travis Terreo. I have been an employee of the Hays County Sheriff’s Office since 2014, when I graduated from the Hays County Sheriff’s Academy. I am currently a detective assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division. In the past, I have worked as a patrol corporal, patrol deputy, deputy assigned to the Sex Offender Apprehension and Registration Unit, deputy assigned to the Repeat Offender Program, a member of the Regional Environmental Task Force, a member of the U.S. Marshall’s Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, and I have limited experience as an HCSO Corrections Officer.  I am also a former Army Public Affairs Mass Communication Specialist.

If allowed the opportunity to serve on the HCLEA Board of Directors, I will devote the time and attention needed to ensure the duties of that position are fulfilled. I intend to develop the knowledge and conduct the research necessary to represent the Sheriff’s Law Enforcement members of HCLEA to the best of my abilities in collective bargaining, and to ensure the current, and future, contracts are properly maintained and enforced. Additionally, I will ensure all complaints, suggestions, grievances, donations, etc. are given due consideration in order to achieve resolutions that best suit the HCLEA. I will also strive to increase active membership in HCLEA, while working to increase HCLEA’s involvement with the local community. I believe the HCLEA could become a greater benevolent force for the Hays County community and a more powerful advocate for the membership. I hope to help make that a reality.
